Show Notes

Have you ever met anyone that has extreme allergic reactions to what seems like any food and supplement? There is a whole world of people dealing with hyper allergic disorders like Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. Other conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and POTS of Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome are commonly seen under the MCAS umbrella. But how do you get to a stable place so you can heal?

Amber Walker, PT, DPT has endured this nightmare and now helps others do the same with her books, website and clinical practice. In this episode we discuss some of Amber’s story to rock bottom where she was only tolerating a few foods and some of the primary root causes she addressed, including mold, detoxification and nervous system retraining modalities.

In this episode we discussed:

  • Mastocytosis and MCAD/MCAS definitions
  • Characterists of POTS and hyper mobile Ehlers Danlos Syndrome
  • The influence of chronic mold, bacterial and viral conditions on immune system dysregulation
  • External therapies and nervous system retraining modalities, include DNRS/Gupta Program, Safe and Sound auditory program by Dr. Steven Porges, polyvagal theory and exercises, craniosacral changes, vagus nerve exercises, cervical spine and limbic system work
